Media and Communications
A small video production company. I ended up in different positions. Shooting both indoors and outdoors. Editing with Final Cut Pro and doing sound design with Soundtrack Pro. For Aktis the most vital part was collaboration of the people. Since everybody had a different role we had to come together to complete a video.
Master of Arts in Film Making
My sole company, where I ventured into the digital world. Had to balance speaking with the clients, working out the bureaucracy and creating the products they needed. The main focus was creating digital publications of books on the app store and iBooks store. At a later stage I started creating organisational event apps. I partnered with eventmobi, a company which provides a graphical user interface for creating mobile event apps.
A three month training course for training as a Web Developer. We were taught Ruby, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS 3, Sass, jQuery, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, SQL, PostgreSQL, Heroku, AWS, Github, Node, Express, Mongo, Mongoose. Additionally the agile model of working was explained. General Assembly is in tune with the agile model of development, therefore we had daily stand ups. The course consists of four main projects. Three of them are done individually and one is done in a group. I must say the group project was really enjoyable, the diversity in ideas, helped make the project better.
